What is Lunar Dragon Entertainment, LLC?
Hey there! My name is Heather Parra. I’m the owner of Lunar Dragon Entertainment and the creator of TALON. This indie production company aims to create live-action and animated stories. Expect stories in the genres of sci-fi/fantasy and action/adventure. The company’s objectives are:
- To entertain, not to preach. While our stories carry themes, the focus is on delivering entertaining narratives with universally relatable characters, much like the beloved movies and shows from the ’80s to the 2000s.
- To be among the new generation of indie filmmakers, creating stories that are not tied to established franchises or other forms of IP. We are dedicated to bringing you original and captivating stories.
Current Lunar Dragon Projects
Talon
Talon is an animated series meant to be enjoyed by family members young and old. In Season One follow Talon, a courageous young Dakotaraptor gifted powers by a mystical entity, as she and her friends journey across the prehistoric landscape from volcanic fields, snowcapped mountains, and treacherous seas in search of the other Champions. They’ll battle ever more challenging Masters, build a new family, and, all along the way, learn and grow together, preparing themselves for an out-of-this-world war. Some fun twists and turns are planned for episodes 9-12!
Peter Chung, of Aeon Flux fame and celebrated for his groundbreaking animation style and storytelling over multiple series and films is directing the pilot and Multi-Emmy award winner Brian A. Miller from Pat and Mike Productions and former head of Cartoon Network Studios & Award-winning executive producer Jennifer Pelphrey are producing.

Primal Magic
Primal Magic is a story about a young maned tiger named Yuri. In this world, Guardian animals have the ability to use magic to protect nature and take on human forms, but as nature dies, so does the magic that allows the Guardians to perform their duties. After losing his mother to a poacher, Yuri unlocks his Primal Magic and struggles to find his way as a Guardian. Primal Magic is written as an animated feature.
Status: Short Script Complete
Through Eyes Unclouded
Through Eyes Unclouded is a proof of concept for another animated feature. After an encounter with the forest god, a violent, bloodthirsty machine learns the meaning of compassion through the eyes of another and a dark secret. The concept art here is Naisum in his Dreadnought form, Kessla, the Forest God, and an Archana cub. This story was inspired by Attack on Titan, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and FernGully: The Last Rainforest.

From the Deep
From the Deep is a live-action proof of concept for a feature film that feels like a mashup of Aliens and Enemy Mine. Stranded on an island, a gentle native and a vengeful soldier must find common ground and work together to defeat the persistent and lethal sea monster hunting them.
